Straight from Gaile Gray's mouth

As to the lack of outlet for spending money, you're right, there are not as many "gold sinks" present in the game as there might be, and there will no doubt be many more. We may stream some in with one of our weekly updates. We may present more in our first free Live Update, coming this summer. And certainly we will offer more in the next chapter of Guild Wars. We read player suggestions on fansite forums every day, and players have a lot of great ideas! One of my personal favorite suggestions is that we provide more options for pets, such as items you can buy them or even the ability to change their color. Another suggestion is "town clothes," so that when you head into Ascalon City or Lion's Arch you can shake off the dust of combat and don something that is decidedly not armor-like. What if you were able to purchase the ability to change hair styles and hair colors on existing characters, or even to acquire options for faces, hair styles, and hair colors that are not even available at character creation? And what about Guild Hall upgrades? Suffice it to say, there are a lot of fun features coming!

I remember discussing these on forums.

looks like they DO listen after all (not that I had any doubt)

good on you Anet. the "town cloths" option would be awesome!

i like the idea of purchasing upgrades for the Guild Hall. First thing i would buy, were it available, would be a Guild bank/storage.

I always rather assumed that they would read forums anyway, I know I would..

As for the accusations of not listening .. well we cant know they are listening if they dont tell us :S

The frustrating thing about A.net is that the feedback on our ideas is minimal.

We need more posts like this to be honest, where did you find this quote Paladin? am I looking in the wrong places for official feedback? or did she speak with you directly?

The Snowman.

Wait, so you expect them to post in every thread saying "This is good/bad"? Of course they don't comment 99% of ideas, that would be complete waste of time.

er... no, I never said anything like what you presume.

There are lots of game companies out there.. each have an active involvment in their community.. they all give a certain amount of feedback to let their community know that they are listening.

The feedback from A.net.. compared to other companies is.. just like I said.. 'minimal'

This is why there are so many complaints of 'Not listening'... (why else?)

your reply belongs to a thread where someone is complaining of A.net not listening. There are plenty to read.. in every forum, go and be presumtious and sarcastic to them pls.

I've seen then comment several times - but that was before "UAS or we leave" type threads started appearing in mass(not necessarily here). Guess they just got pissed of and left

hopefully this does not mean that they intend to restrict access to editing one's character via the "character creation screen" after creation, and instead replace that screen with a less-featured version

i wanna be able to change my body size and everything else too after creation. not just hair styles and faces.

It's the FoW one, which requires Obsidian Shards and Ectoplasm, +the normal materials and money for the "normal" 15k armor.
